This is piebaldism with depigmented patches. It is due to a mutation in c-KIT. It is also associated with a white forelock and heterochromia irides.

There is no involvement of hearing, unlike Waardenburg which has deafness associated. Waardenburg types 1 and 3 are due to a mutation in PAX3, type 2 is due to a mutation in MITF, and type 4 is due to a mutation in endothelin-3 or SOX10.
